Ryan has often said that he’d never “put a muzzle on a man,” giving his players the freedom to express their opinions. Although he disagreed with players speaking anonymously, he maintained that he wouldn’t take a “hard line” with restrictions on what they could say to the media.

“I’m not hiding anything,” Ryan said. “I know it’s probably a unique way of doing things. Could it come back and bite you? I guess. But to me, I’m not afraid of it.”

This is why i get more and more sick of Rex every single day.

"Im not afraid of it"....well guess what a$$hole, you should be because its making your team a laughing stock and literally destroying any possibility of you ever being more then a coordinator.

When asked during his appearance this morning on ESPN First Take whether Tim Tebow would return to the Jets in 2013, Rich Cimini said he was "convinced" that Tebow would not return.

This is what I consider the biggest mistake Rex made. These are twenty year old kids who have more ego than common sense in a lot of cases. You have to teach them how to be professional and sometimes that means shutting their mouths so that they can listen to someone other than themselves.

I get what Rex is trying to say/do but I don't agree with him. Some people need to have their mouths clamped until they learn how to navigate the media and some never learn.

I wouldn't blame him. I mean if the starting quarterback is playing as poorly as Sanchez is and the coach doesn't give you a chance, despite already being a proven winner months ago, what more can you do?

The main knock on Tebow was his completion %.

But Mark is completing just as few passes BUT:

-he turns over the ball more
-doesn't rush as good as Tebow
-doesn't have the pocket presence
-not as clutch late in the game

Not to mention of the few opportunities he has had, he completed 5 of 6 passes with one being a drop. So where is the reasoning? When asked, the only reason Rex gives is "he feels it in his heart". He could easily say he believes Mark's a better quarterback, or knows the offense better, or whatever. But he doesn't. To me it seems like favoritism to the veteran at this point and there's not much a player can do in that situation.

Haha RT @mortreport: As for anonymous #Jets locker room "quotes" that ripped Tebow, same newspaper once did anonymous player quotes ripping Sanchez. #cmonman

he is such a clueless buffoon, it's disgusting. The sideshow should be closed down. Get rid of Tanny and the buffoon and become a professional organization!

Cant become a professional organization until Woody Johnson sells the team.

Woody is a buffoon with Rex

Tanny gets a bit of a pass for me, I think he is forced to follow Woody's orders. Favre and Tebow trades seemed very out of character for him. I thought he was doing a pretty good job until Rex was hired and the circus became full blown.....

It is so sad.......

The team lacks an organizational vision and that poision infects any chance that the team has to win......

Doesn't make a difference, they don't throw to him and he can't catch.
