Here's the answer to your question, and here's what I would say to Francesa if I were on the radio:

It's perfectly acceptable that Tannenbaum wouldn't throw any of his players under the bus. But he had the opportunity you throw himself under the bus and it would've been nice to hear some honesty in that regard.

Yes... But it is par for the course for Tanny. He never thinks anything through. He takes action for the sake of action disregarding the management golden rule of only taking action if it helps you accomplish something real. Tanny is The Man without a Plan who wanders through life reacting to situations as they occur.

He is not doing that at this point in the season, he has to at least give the impression that they are still trying to win out and make the playoffs. Those are comments for the post season interview.

Tannenbaum is a lying d-bag. In another life he's a dirtbag used car salesman. Listening to him give an interview actually makes me borderline physically ill. Nothing he says is honest, nothing he says can be taken remotely seriously by anyone who knows the sport. It's sad that he is our GM. How Woody can allow this dude to run the team beyond this year is beyond me? But I have a feeling he will
