I'm in!
-Sanchez looks like he's actually seeing the field/reading the defense. -Run blocking has been solid. -They completed a screen pass!!! -Westoff needs to just freaking retire already... coaching like he's already at the beach. -How slow is Bart Scott? False Start Mulligan ran him down. This game is killing our draft stock, but IF somehow someway Sanchez actually becomes a player |

I thoiught the jets would win this game. They will lose to the pats but will win just enough games to make the coach and front office think we are 'close'. Sanchez will rally just enough for people to have hope he as 'turned the corner'. The jets will be 7-9, 8-8 but are still the same team that is 3-6 right now.

If you're expecting some sort of playoff run, then you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.
This is still a 7-9 team at best. I don't even consider this a win. All it does is buy guys like Sanchez, Rex and Tannenbaum more time. Sorry, but I don't see the silver lining in that. |

Not saying they aren't a 7-9 team but look at the remaining games we have. 5-6 are "should be wins" and the Pats game is a "could win" game.
Imagine this train wreck 10-6 and in the playoffs again? |

There's NO reason to delay the process. Start Geno
Smith.

Here, here.
We'll beat New England on Thursday, everyone will start going insane about playoff scenarios (myself included) and then when we hit the field against Arizona in 10 days.... 17-0, Cardinals. Life of a Jets fan. |

they would have to lose only 1 more game the entire regular season and hope the Colts succumb to their tougher schedule.
i don't think this offense has it in them |

We saw the true Colts when we played them and again yesterday. The Colts suck and will win 1 or 2 more games tops. The Rams suck too by the way although they have nothing to do with us much.

Here's hoping that GS3 under center, and Coples on
the edge works out.

First of all 8-8 is probably good enough for a playoff berth.
The Rams are not that bad. The played SF to a tie in SF last week. It's not who they beat, but how they did it. Started off with a ruined drive by sticking Tebow in there to run up the middle. Then a blocked kick, and a stupid fake punt against the defensive unit. So we dug ourselves a hole with stupidity, then all of the sudden we started playing to our strengths. Got Sanchez in a rhythm, and some confidence with short drops, roll outs, and quick throws. Ran some counters, and traps. Even some screens, and draws to slow up the pass rush, then hit them deep with a double move. It's almost like they read Suzy's thread. Pouha looks like he's healthy again, and Wilkerson, and Coples are the beneficiaries. If we can sit Hill, Pace, and Thomas. Maybe rotate them in, we could make a run. Don't forget that Rex is still young, and he may be learning, and while I don't like what we have seen of Sporano thus far, he is just getting his feet wet as a play caller. Sanchez has been grossly mismanaged so far, and may be beyond repair, but he has shown flashes. He could still come around too. Don't wish the season away just yet. |
