Yeah like this year where they had picks 21 and 25.

And why would SF trade him for so little? They drafted him at like 35th overall in 2011, his contract is cheap and he has all the tools to be an elite QB. Tonight he's showing he can be their franchise QB for the future. You don't trade guys like that, particularly QBs.

Amazing how well coached and prepared the 49ers are.

Wow another great play Kaepernick

Total yards are like 320 for the Niners to 31 for the Bears

Sanchez looked great his 1st pro game. Teams haven't had any tape to go off of until now

But Kape is well coached!

So that's what a pass rush looks like.

They've actually used him a bunch during other games, some wildcat, some regular passing plays. Harbaugh knows he has something potentially special here and has given the kid legit playing time.

Smith's probably better at not losing games for them right now, and they're huge contenders this year. But yeah, Kaep definitely looks like the higher ceiling guy.

Alex Smith was a scratch, he'll be starting next week. Too much time and money invested in him. Sound familiar?

Hope you're not implying the Jets, we unfortunately don't have a legit backup QB. Kaepernick's a good player, Tebow's garbage.

Yes. Some plays here and there scattered throughout a game

Not a game from start to finish.

The implication is that the 49ers are likely to stick with Smith just like the Jets and Sanchez, the backup play is irrelevant.

Campbell down AGAIN? Geez, I feel bad for this guy.

On the other hand, I have the 9ers D in fantasy. GET ON MY DICK, BREH.

Difference here is that their backup is actually seemingly good. I could easily see them switching to Kaepernick in the offseason.

Bears quit on this game in the first half. O line making almost no effort.

Well yes, but the offseason is very different from right now. The Jets have never had a competent backup under Sanchez and, god love him, he never gets injured, so the Jets have never been in this type of quandary.

But I trust Jim Harbaugh to evaluate and handle the situation more than I would Rex.

Beast doesn't begin to describe Aldon Smith. He's playing 5 tech, same as Coples right?

Oh, you're talking about the offseason. Well, yea.

I think Rex has shown that when it comes to evaluating talent, he's completely inept.
