Our daughter was a great baby, but our son sucks. Can't put the kid down for 2 seconds to do something before he starts screaming. HATES not being held. And of course my wife comes running rather than letting him cry for a bit. My head-spinning

non-womans logic of "If he cries and you pick him up to sooth him, he'll know you'll come running for anything and just cry his ass off" is wasted "because he's a baby and babies need to be held." Eff that.

Eh, I'm just a cynical realist. Love the kid more than anything, but he can be brutal. Especially on the changing table. Going with Timmmys point, one of the reasons we wont let a stranger watch our kids is because we know how much patience you need with your own kids, never mind someone elses.
