Ed Reed's suspension reduced to a $50k fine

@AdamSchefter
Ted Cottrell reduced Ed Reed's one-game suspension to only a $50,000 fine. Wow...

Good, it should have been. The hit was not that egregious and his last infraction was 2010. You're seriously gonna tell the greatest safety in the game that he's doing it wrong?

He shouldn't have been suspended in the first place. Reed's not a dirty player and the hit was not anything over the top. NFL needs to let these guys just play sometimes.

He's not trying to hurt people -- I think that's obvious to any impartial observer.

The his was illegal but not malicious or overly violent, like you would see from Ryan Clark and others.

Reed, for the most part, does it the right way.

Hit was not malicious there shouldn't even be a fine. I understand what Goodell is trying to do with pretending to soften up the game with all these frivolous concussion lawsuits going on he needs to posture for a settlement but c'mon.
