What's the difference?
Without Drew Brees, there is no Drew Brees Foundation.

all of the people in this thread complaining about the jets individual players who didn't donate a million or other millionaires who didn't donate a million, how do you know they didn't? maybe it just wasn't made public.

+1.

That's like saying it was the jets who donated $500K and not Woody.

BTW, kudos for Brees for donating the same $$$ as the Jets and Giants combined. Beats my measly $100.

Yep. The money came from others, not him.

The "difference" is that he didn't donate any money from his own wallet/bank account. His Foundation did.

Though I would even bet he'd get a nice tax write-off(or is it tax deduction?) out of that....

If you think Drew is powering his Foundation with his own money, then I got a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Don' t get me wrong....It's nice that Brees told his Foundation to give $1 mill for Hurricane Sandy Relief.

But here's a question :

Who or where is this Money going to? Why isn't it mentioned?

Is it going to a single person?

A Town?

Would certainly be better if we knew that the Money was going to help those people suffering as a result of the storm. Now you can all say that it goes without saying since the donation is for Hurricane Sandy Relief but I'd like to know more specifically what(or who) the money goes to....

That's the equivalent of a guy making $40K a year writing a $1,000 check to Sandy Relief. I haven't seen too much of that going on.

Way to go, Drew! Truly one of the good guys around the league.
