11.20.12 - The Jets have waived WR Jason Hill.

Rich Cimini ‏@RichCimini
#Jets cut WR Jason Hill. Worked out former Jet WR Patrick Turner.

Seth Walder ‏@SethWalderNYDN
The Jets have waived WR Jason Hill. #nyj

Brian Costello ‏@BrianCoz
Practice squad CB Donnie Fletcher and WR Jordan White are possibilities to be on active roster Thursday.

Correction: Jeremy.

Mike Vorkunov ‏@Mike_Vorkunov
#Jets announce they've waived WR Jason Hill. Talked to him today, he said he was "hurting." Said he got hurt in warmups Sunday. #Nyj

Jets RapidReports ‏@CBSJets
#Jets now have only four WRs on active roster: Jeremey Kerley, Stephen Hill, Clyde Gates and Chaz Schilens.

another genius signing by Tannenbaum.
Could've had Jabar Gaffney instead.

Can confirm @MikeGarafolo report: Hill says he was hurt during #Jets activities, but was cut with non-football designation =no severance $.

I'd rather see Royce Pollard brought up from the PS over either White or a Turner signing. Pollard looked good in preseason.

For the other 2 spots, bring up Darrin Walls at CB and Antonio Allen at S.

So the Jets go right back to the other JAG(Turner) after releasing this particular JAG.

This might actually be a record for the number of times Patrick Turner was cut/re-signed.....

The Jets also worked out Patrick Turner Tuesday, my guess would be they sign him in the next day or two, he already knows the offense as well as the rest of the team, it only makes sense.

I also just read on Rotoworld that Kerley will be a game time decision vs the Pats, if the coaching staff believes there is even a possibility that Kerley can't go, that's all the more reason to bring Turner back.

Jets released WR Jason Hill.
Again. Hill couldn't work his way into a receiver rotation that saw Clyde Gates lead the way with 47 snaps in Week 11. Chaz Schilens (39), Stephen Hill (24), and Jeremy Kerley (19) rounded out the rotation. The Jets worked out free agent Patrick Turner on Tuesday.

I believe Pollard has a torn labrum.

He'll probably just go to the PS anyway.

This is for the best. Too many wide receivers named "Hill" was going to get confusing.

J. Hill is in like his 4th or 5th season. He was a starter in JAX for a couple seasons.

I personally think plax was behind a lot of the complaining last year and I did NOT want him back here earlier in the season.

BUT

Clearly the FO and coaching staff has zero regard for character in who we bring in here (see Santonio, Cro, etc)....with Stephen Hill struggling, plax would have been a good guy to bring in. Hes slow, but has fresh legs, and at least can add a red zone threat and some height out there to open things up for kerley and keller underneath
