I guess your standards are lower than mine.

Humphries career numbers in 88 starts

Yeah, well O'Donnell was a FA, something Jets fans never forget

Grossman did get more starts, bit eventually they had another drafted guy in Orton to go with.

Tannenbaum and Woody gave us Tebow and gave Sanchez an extension.....so we pretty much screwed.

Seriously though, I would take a new GM who supports Rex and get him a new OC and QB.

Rex gets a lot of heat because he's a windbag and doesn't say the things fans want to hear, but to say he's the sole reason for the Jets woes is way off, in my opinion. Is he the greatest coach in the NFL? Far from it, he's proven he's plenty capable with a good roster though, and right now, we are far, far from a good roster.
You've tried?

Good choice, but I would go

1. Schotty
2. Sparano
3. Hackett
4. A defensive line coach (the Andy Reid approach, just 180ed!)
5. Sparano

Any chance Walton is spry enough to take the reigns of the Jet offense once more?

LOL if not I like Lou Holtz
.... if the man can run an offense as good as he writes a fight song for a pro team that's good enough for me!

Holtz' long-standing tenure as Jet HC, as well as his ever tempered demeanor, makes him a perfect choice, PaPZ187.

Oh great another guy who just stopped playing Madden and started watching football last week.

Humphries had more leadership in his pizza-padded gut than Sanchez has shown to date.

forgive me for setting my sights higher than humphrey level great intangibles.

BTW, don't play madden, and I've been watching football for about 40 years.

Then you would have known in an injury-shortened career finished about 100th all-time in passing yards. Not really a Dilfer type there.

40 more years of watching from afar should get you up to speed.

But when you truly dig to the bottom of the festering wound that is the NY Jets and figure out what's wrong, it comes down to the players. the players are horrible. That lies directly at the feet of Mike Tannenbaum.
Yeah, but we never hit the QB! I think you fire Tannenbaum, hire a professional and let him pick his coach. If it's Rex so be it.
