Hopeless and Embarrasing

This is truly the most dysfunctional sports team of all time. Imagine the league correctly obsessed with head injuries, and then picture a team in that league whose player is injured in the rib area, not that many games after it is revealed that a certain quarterback from Pittsburgh fractured a rib and came frighteningly close to piercing his aorta. No one on the Jets is aware that old Ben apparently came close to dying?

This entire fiasco has gone above and beyond anything acceptable. Time to just let this team die. The place looked pretty packed last night, full of people apparently with nothing better to do on a family holiday and spend god-awful money to watch and cheer for this team. Stop showing up, and take a stand. Even those free tickets you got from the boss or the salesman could be cut in half and mailed into the Jets offices with a note.

Usually fans are fans for reasons that they really can't understand and it's not just a matter of the team is in town. As frustrating as it? Even when we leave that town, we still seem to have an addiction to want to see them play and to succeed. Some however what is being manipulated by those feelings and the only people who are benefiting are the awful owners. Sometimes I think about Pete Rozelle and how much the fans disliked him, but looking back he was a hands-on in your face leader who probably wouldn't have even allowed the Jets to reach the place where they are. It's certainly not good for pro football to have this team doing what they are doing to their fans iand to their franchise. I used to think that the original New Orleans franchise had the worst football team in the history of the planet. Time to rethink that, and consider breaking out the paper bags. However in this case, perhaps the bag should go on the players heads?

What about Cleveland, Detroit, Cincinnati, Seattle, Buffalo, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay and to a certain extent Atlanta (up until recently they never had back-to-back winning seasons)? Just because we aren't winning now doesn't mean we have been an absolute joke for 53 years. At least we have expectations based on some recent success. Most of the above teams don't even have that. Rebuilding is necessary and will be tough on all of us fans, but sometimes a step or two backwards leads to a giant leap forwards

PIT didn't make the playoffs for 40 years and turned down Johnny U.
BAL moved in the middle of the night to IND
ARI went 3 cities and 63 years between home playoff wins
etc.

yet the NY Jets are the most dysfunctional sports team let alone football team ever.

Keep the laffs comin'

They are only dysfunctional because their "dysfunction" is shoved down everyone's throats EVERYDAY ON NATIONWIDE TV.

We are a wealthy franchise.... The SB Giants are right across the hall.

OK..we are NOT the worst but we can smell them they are so close.

if we simply got a commodore 64 computer, told it to imitate the GIANTS drafts we would have a better team. We suck. We need a revolution.

The only way there would be a "revolution" is if YOU became Owner of the Jets and Borgo became GM.

The over-the-top reactions continue. Meanwhile, just two years ago the dysfunctional Bengals won 2 or 3 games. Longtime embattled coach returned. No real major moves and the team is a playoff team last year, and back in the hunt again this season.

Ahhh yes. You are right. We should shoot for the stars.

Lets get the JET ready and go talk to the Bengals and see what their secret is.

Dude... I am certain you are a passionate fan. But the Bengals? Really?

How about comparing ourselves to the Steelers, Ravens, Giants or Pats.

If you do..you'll see, we dont do it anything like them. THEY draft well, are coached well, have a front office that would never bring in Favre or Tebow etc...
