Who is the "us" in the "nothing like us" exactly? The total dicks of the world, maybe?

Ed is a good loyal passionate Jet fan and a good person who served his fellow man

The exact opposite of greedy self serving SAR I in every aspect of that description.

How is this any different than the calls to rally at Florham Park or boycotts of all things Jets?

If a high-profile fan can get the point across that the fanbase is not happy with the current state of things, I'm all for it.

im so glad this thread was recycled from the dump.

fireman ed has nothing to do with the current situation of the jets.

he left early as most did being aggravated and disgusted.

no reason to personally attack the guy by calling him a "blue collar loser" the guy is a retired nyc firefighter who was injured on the job.

the person who made that comment should be banned from this forum. thanks

Leaving before the second quarter would have been smarter

Whomever says that was never a Firefighter nor was injured on the job.

They're just JEALOUS that this guy gets air-time on TV leading the cheers while we're sitting on our couches stuffing our fat faces with food and beer...

I think he might've been drinking at that moment.

Then when he ran out of booze, he said "Fuk it!" and left.

How ironic is it that the biggest attention whore on this site is offended by someone who gets tremendous attention without even really trying.

**** that.
Exactly, who in the hell says anybody has to stay through that **** show in order to prove themselves as some "diehard" fan? How about all the people on here posting about it on here that didn't even go to the game themselves? That's the irony of all ironies. The Jets got **** on, they didn't show up (again) in the biggest game of the year, it's a 28-0 deficit against the greatest coach and quarterback of all time and we've got the worst quarterback in the league, worst wide receivers, damn near worst running backs, and blowhard head coach, and it's Thanksgiving night while people left their homes early to go to the game in the first place. All the people that are ripping Fireman Ed for leaving the game early need to get a grip of themselves and quit being such toolbags. How many of them went to the game themselves in the first place?

most run from burning buildings he ran into them and if im correct i think he has a few medals of honor from the new york city fire department. far from a blue collar loser.

what the hell is wrong with you man? all over a football team sucking so its his fault?

get a life.
Stop. He's retired.

To set the record straight, no fireman is a "loser". Several of my friends and relatives served in that capacity for civic duty, a crew saved my son's life when he was an infant, I would never do anything to besmirch them.

I called Fireman Ed a "loser". Not an entire group of people dedicated to keeping people safe.

Carry-on.

I don't blame the man. Look, I am going to always be a Jets fan. I am not going to jump to another team, like some. However, you couldn't pay me to stay in the seats last night and I don't blame Ed for bolting. The best thing you can do if you do not like how things are going right now is to not give Woody a cent. Not one. I'll watch free games, but I haven't bought any Jets merch in almost a year and I plan not to until Rex Ryan is gone. You cannot win in this league with the "ground in pound." Every move we do is futile until this philosophy is gone.

Personally, I thank Ed for walking out last night. He represented me and how I am feeling right now and hopefully his move will send a message.

Thanks Ed!

And is that not what Fireman Ed did when he served in that role? Or did he never actually do any of that work and only got paid because of his celebrity persona with the Jets?
