Actually 8-8 may get it done in the crappy AFC.
Two pivotal teams - Indy (they are not better than 8-8) - Jets have the tiebreaker. Cincy ( probable 8-8) - I have no idea on the tiebreaker.

Jets are more likely to finish 7-9 at best I think.

Don't be fooled into thinking this is '09 again, the '09 team was far superior.

In '09 we beat teams we should have beat and lost CLOSE games to better teams. We had a great running game and a better defense then we do now.

This team gets blown out at home by better teams and as currently constituted is bad. While certainly I am rooting for 5-0, I expect to go no better then 2-3 the rest of the way. Hope I'm wrong.

We've beaten the bad teams, and we've lost to the good teams....there are only bad teams left on the schedule. 9-7 isn't pretty, but it's quite feasible

This year we've also got killed by bad teams, like the Dolphins at home on 10/28.

I think your optimism is compelling but do you really think this team is a playoff team? After what we've seen this year given their performances against more elite teams that we'd even stand a chance to even win a divisional game?

IMO we are not a 9-7 team, more like 7-9 or 6-10, which better reflects our talent level.

He is pretty much right. The last time we won two in a row was 12/4/11 and the next time we could possibly win 2 in a row will be 12/9. We aren't winning 5 in a row. I want them to fail miserably and sweeping changes made. Actually after the Thanksgiving game, I don't really care what they do. I'm real close to being done with this miserable franchise forever.
