If, and I mean a BIG IF.....

the Jets move away from Rex, Bill O'Brien did one heck of a job at Penn State.

Wouldn't be a bad choice!!

La Confora reported he was very close to going to Jax last season. And he seems to think they will be needing a new GM and if this is the case, O'Brien would be the owner's number 1 choice.

He has a huge buyout in his contract.

Quote:
Instead of hedging, O’Brien has essentially recommitted. His contract has been extended through 2020, and if O’Brien were to leave after next season, he would owe Penn State a buyout of more than $9 million.

Doubt Woody would be willing to shell that out PLUS pay him a salary.

If we were to go with a college coach I would love to see us pursue David Shaw.

Rather have Urban Meyer.

Then we could actually get some production out of Tebow, and I'd be in favor of removing him from the bench.
