jets sign gilyard.
Jets signed WR/KR Mardy Gilyard, formerly of the Eagles.
Both Clyde Gates and Chaz Schilens suffered concussions in the loss to the Patriots last week. Jeremy Kerley (heel, hamstring) was not at practice on Monday. Gilyard will add depth to the banged up wide receiver corps and could take over punt returns. OG Hayworth Hicks was waived in a corresponding move. schillens was supposed to replace braylon edwards. nice job rex and tanny.

Didn't the Jets sign this guy before last season began and waived him a few days later?

How many more times are we going to bring this guy in and cut him the next week. Is there no one one on the practice squad that could do the special teams work required of a 4th/5th string receiver for a week?

The WR situation has been a cluster **** since Cotch and Braylon left.
Tanny is an abomination as a personnel guy. And his contract/cap "genius" is in the past. There are guys who can run circles around him now. Good riddins (sic). |
