Special teams? Fine. But as a starting NFL RB or receiver? No chance. Another Tanny/Rex debacle/bust.
You couldn't be more wrong.

McKnight "has it" far more than Sparano, Sanchez, Greene, Powell, Gates, Schillens and a few other tossaway recent jets O skillplayers.

The problem, I maintain, is a O-Co and staff who fails horribly to utilize the talents we DO have to their fullest. Stubborn and stupid to a fault.

And for the record, even if he was "just" the return man and a pro bowler atthat spot (which he is), thats worth the price of the 4th round pick we spent on him. He's no "bust" pick in any reasonable way.

No question at all. But so does a dust mop compared to those guys.

As for your last point, that's a justification. McKnight was not picked, nor portrayed by the team, to be used solely on special teams. The team's intention was for him to be a #2 RB. That hasn't happened. Okay, maybe not a bust, but--IMO--close.

How about we work on teaching the guys we currently have at the WR position how to run the correct routes and how to hold onto the ball!!!!!

Good Grief!!!!

McKnight only has 22 carries on the year, yet has the longest run we've had since Week 1 of 2009. He'd have a lot more of those if they bothered to give him the ball more often. But we prefer a "power" running game that picks up less than 4 yards per carry and breaks 2 or 3 20+ yard runs each year.

McKnight leads the team with 6.0 yards per carry. Yes, it's small sample size. But his distribution of runs is exactly how the guys that average 4.7+ yards per carry wind up with those numbers. They get stopped for short gains just as often as Greene does. But those well blocked runs where Greene gets 9-15 yards, they get 30. And that's why they average almost a full yard more per carry than him.

Didn't they already activate White? Royce is on the IR who is left on the PS? They could use one of the 6 TEs though. Cumby can't block why not him?

It's all right just another scapegoat for suckchez being set up. God forbid they give him young wr's and he makes them nfl players even if they are nit superstars they still made it to the nfl and have caught balls before. Insteād when the McKnight experiment fails he will be blamed not saanchez.

You would think a smart offensive mind would hand off to him in space. Oh wait, there are no smart offensive minds coaching the Jets.

Hopefully next year we will have a real coaching staff that will teach McKnight how to carry the football properly and will use him the right way.

Your *****ing has become a boring one trick pony.

It's not a joke to put a player that has receiving ability in a role to help the passing game due to injuries.

Fans like you are the real joke.

You're a good poster, but c'mon, you know better than that.

Gates is out this week with the concussion, we signed Gilyard, the Jets depth chart right now without Gates is Hill, Schilens, and Kerley, they signed Gilyard to help with #4 WR roles.

Can you make any more stupid excuses for a pathetic 4-7 record?

Oh good, now he can fumble the ball as a WR instead of RB. Why is he getting a pass for his turnover in the NE game?

Because there were maybe 3 guys who DIDN'T fumble during that game.
