Speaking of which, I haven't heard a peep about any sort of 'hot toy' this year that is worth trampling other people for.

Except maybe for the Wii U - maybe Nintendorks will purposely hold back consoles like the Wii in order to keep the inventory low and the demand high....

Is it only me, or does "Wii U" sound like the thing you say after you accidentally smell a wicked nasty dump?

Toy?

My 6 year old princess is asking for a Ipod and a television for her bedroom.

My 1st and last visit to a Toys'R'Us went like this:

my wife and I were heading to a Xmas eve party hosted by some friends. On the way, my wife suddenly decides that we have to get the host's kids some type of gift and that we need to stop at a Toys'R'Us store.

I tried to explain that it's freakin' Xmas eve and the place will be a nightmare but she was determined to go there.

get to the store - it was packed of course - and we walk in and the first thing you notice is that it looks as though bomb went off...displays\items knocked over and strewn all over the floor...

My wife went off to look for some things and I just was trying to keep to myself walking the main aisles, when suddenly I felt a bump from the back and heard yelling. I turn around and these two older women are fighting over some toys. It soon turns out to be a major catfight - that was amusing enough but I stood there for about 5 minutes and then suddenly realized that no one was bothering to break it up....I grabbed my wife and went up to checking stands and told a cashier what was happening and the dude just looks at me and says..."yea it happens"

I know it, my oldest (9) has one but thankfully she's not on it 24/7. Frankly the ipod touch is the way to go opposed to a Nintendo DS, imo.The games are usually better and (mostly) free. Plus those frickin cartridges get so easily lost.

+1 My 9yr old likes the ipod...but she isn't attached to it. Facetime with her is really cool when I'm on the road too.

I look at TRU for ideas but out side of that you can go to Walmart or Target online and get the same stuff cheaper. Buying toys at ToysRUs is like buying furniture in Macy's. You know you can get it cheaper somewhere else but then you might be touched by a poor person.

Sounds like my last trip to a strip club minus the wife.
