This excuse makes me laugh. Please name me one all time great coach with a non HoF QB.

Lombardi- Starr
Shula - Unitas/Marino
Walsh - Montana
Noll - Bradshaw
Landry - Staubach
Belichick - Brady

They Always go hand in hand

Lombardi? Definitely.

Landry? Definitely.

The others? Not exactly.

You think Shula would've managed without having a Unitas or Marino on his team?

You think anyone would even remember who Walsh was if it wasn't for Montana? Heck, people barely remember who he is today!

Who remembers the Head Coach(Noll?) of the Steelers when Terry "No-Brains" Bradshaw was QB'ing? Exactly.

Bellichek is a solid HC. HOWEVER, without Brady, that's all he would ever be. And I bet that if Brady didn't pan out post-Mo Lewis-Hit-on-Bledsoe, he might've been either on a different team or out of the NFL altogether.

Coaches who can elevate their entire team regardless of who the QB is are a RARE BREED, IMO.

They can either do it or they can't.

Well great, so basically there are only two great head coaches in the history of the NFL, everyone else is a fraud. I don't know why it's always one making the other. It is and always has been a symbiotic relationship between all-time successful coaches and QBs.

Over the last 10 years, the Patriots are now 36-3 in the month of December losing to only one team.

Here's hoping that GS3 under center, and Coples on the edge works out.

Yeah that's just as good as winning. Getting to the SB is what's really important. Getting to the Championship game means nothing, but losing the SB is just as good as winning it. I mean everyone remembers who lost the SB, and how many SB loses you have is what determines greatness.

Did I say they were Frauds?

Maybe I should've included Shula/Noll/Walsh in the "solid HC" category where I placed Bellichek since you got the wrong idea.

My POINT was that this group, while they are good HC's, had their careers elevated due to being FORTUNATE enough to land Franchise HOF-caliber QBs during their tenure.

It must be nice to dominate your division for a decade. Maybe one day we'll be relevant again.

Maybe we can get on a roll with Mac and end up knocking the Patriot douchebags out of the playoffs

Of course it's not as good as winning. But you act like getting there is no better than going 8-8, or say, 6-10.

Losing the SB is better than losing the AFCCG is better than losing the Division is better than a losing season. How can you argue that?

The 49ers lost to the Rams today 16-13. The Pats beat the Rams 45-7. Every team has a bad day.

You also didn't win the division...again. Do Woody, and us, a favor and resign tonight. Let Mike W. finish out the year.
