Need help choosing video game

My brother in law is into games and we have to get him a new one for X mas.

Apparently he really liked Assassins Creed 3 (PS3).

Which game resembles AC3 (besides AC2 and AC1)? I've never gotten into games so I have no idea.

Some suggestions I've recieved so far:
Uncharted 3
Red Dead Redemption
Farcry 3

There are 2 games that i can't put down right now. MLB 12 the Show, and Call of Duty: Black Ops

I'm 35, and rarely play my PS3. But those 2 games are amazing.

None of those are that similar to AC, but Uncharted 3 is probably most similar and the best game of the three you listed. Cheers.

Yeah the two hot multiplayer games are Black Ops and Halo 4. If he is more into single player stuff go Uncharted 3. One of the better reviewed games ever. And lolz at surrender monkey.

Get him a Wii U. I got one for my son. But hes 7 and not into those call of dooty games.

He's alright. All my in laws live out in the countryside (Normandie) and live simple lives and I don't mean that in a derogatory way. They don't speak much, and like to drink and eat. What's not to like?

It depends what systems and also if he likes playing multiplayer games or not.

If he's more of the longer/cane_shaker like me, I would say Skyrim and or
Fallout:New Vegas Ultimate Edition. Both games will keep him busy for hundreds of hours.


Edit: Just realized it was a PS3 system. Far Cry 3 comes out today and has been getting great reviews.
