Sanchez not succeeding = 5 yr setback

I know that most hate the guy as our qb. I get that he has not played well.

But, if he does not work out, we are screwed for at least five years.

Franchise qb's dont grow on trees.

We dont have one on the roster and there is none in free agency next year.

the draft this year is horrible.

So where do the jets get their qb if Sanchez fails?

First round high qb pick busts kill your franchise for years.

I don't see how the most successfull 2 year run in this teams history is a 5 year set back.

Obviuosly, you have missed guys liek luck, rg3 and russel wilson playing this year. A young qb can turn a franchise around in 1 year. The only setback we have is keeping the pathetic mark sanchez on the field.

LOL ... Really???... Are we calling 2 years a "run" now?

If that's the case the most successful 2 year "run" was 1968-1969 when the Jets went 21-7 in the regular season, won a SB, and lost in the playoffs to eventual SB champion KC 13-6.

That said. I could care less where the Jets have been. I care where they are going. I see a team with no depth, and no plan to improve. IMO we're headed for a pretty bad "2 year run".

How the hell does getting rid of arguably the worst starting QB in the league set us back 5 years?

If anything, we would be taking a big leap forward. Especially when we get his awful f*cking contract off the books.

You mean like SD who after drafting Leaf followed it up by drafting Brees?

Didn't take them 5 years, weren't screwed for 5 years.

Wonder how many of their fans predicted doom and gloom.

Have to love fans who don't actually watch the game.

Agreed. Even if the Jets replaced Sanchez with Ryan Lindley, it's, at most, a 2 year set back.

Are you willing to have the first pick in the draft?
I'm too old to watch anymore 3-13 years

Sure we aren't 3-13 but we are not contenders either. Don't let these next 4 games against the bowels of the NFL fool you.

We are already set back. No sense in being stuck in neutral next year.

Time to move on.

Sanchez will be here next year because of his ridiculous contract. The jets will have another lousy season and have a very high draft pick where they will select their franchise QB.
