Rex has made plenty of mistakes that he could (or should) have been fired over, this decision isn't one of them.

The decision is sound, the reasoning clear and logical. As I said in the other thread, I don't know that I agree with it, but that doesn't mean its a bad decision.

didn't say that at all. just saying the way people rip on him here it's as if he runs over animals purposely on the drive home. and none of us really know what is going on inside those walls.

so when Rex had decent talent (back in the AFCCG days) he was a really good coach. now when the cupboards are bare, he has no clue? that's logic most people on this board are using

Why are New York fans so terrible? The reason this team will most likely never win a Superbowl is because the fans run everybody out of town!

When will the fans learn that the more things change the more they stay the same?

Rex is a proven winner and this team has been very close in the last few years. What makes us think that they all of a sudden became dumb?

Most every team has down years. We need to ride things out and give Rex more time. Its stupid to fire him now.

Lucky for the Giants fans they have good ownership because they did everything possible to run Coughlin AND Eli out of town the year they won their first superbowl. Now they have two!

Why cant Jets fans ever have patience. Im frustrated now too but Firing Rex isnt the answer.

Recycled former winners are almost 100% guaranteed to be failures.

Almost no Coach wins a Title in one place, goes somewhere else, and wins ANOTHER title.

So no, a 100% pass on Gruden, and generally pass on Cowher and the way-over-the-hill Holmgren and Marty Sr. I like them all....just not a future title winning Jets Head Coaches.

These are the "easy answer" options, but their not title-winning options.

The team has regressed in the last couple years as far as level of talent is concerned. Firing Rex will not fix that. The one who needs to be fired is Tannenbaum.

I fired myself 3 weeks ago. and it has been great. I have a nice tan, caught some beautiful fish and wasnt disappointed at all.
