Sen. Harry Reid on the Jets

From the floor of the Senate today, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV):

"But I follow sports no matter what it is: basketball, football, baseball -- whatever it is. And I've watched very closely -- it's not one of my favorite teams, but it's really fun to watch -- and that's the New York Jets.

The New York Jets, yes. New York Jets. Coach Ryan, he's got a problem. He has three quarterbacks: Sanchez, he's got Tim Tebow, he's got a guy named McElroy. He can't decide who their quarterback is going to be. That's the same problem the Republicans have. Who is the quarterback, Mr. President? Who is the quarterback"

Maybe he shouldn't be following sports so much and finding a way to settle this ridiculousness going with our economy.

He's comparing House Republicans to the NY Jets. The analogy falls apart because House Republicans actually won in November.

What is it with the leading Democrats and sports? If Obama and Reid spend more time worried about their jobs maybe something would get done and the country would be in better shape.

This is what happens when you get your ass kicked on Thanksgiving. You become pop-culture. That Sanchez folly will live on forever.

I know he used the Jets to score political points, but it's really not a partisan issue. No matter what side of the aisle you're on, you should be able to enjoy a good butt-fumble.

Johnson supported Romney

He's taking a smack and using the Jets because of Johnson's support of candidate Romney.

It's too bad the Jets couldn't jerrymander their schedule.

no political debating from me but you need to look up gerrymandering. It obviously doesn't mean what you think it means.

Harry Reid is a useless, liberal POS. He doesn't have a f*cking clue how to run this country and he certainly doesn't have any idea how to run a football team.

Democrats make me sick. A bunch of incompetent idiots that totally disregard the constitution, love queers and lesbos, and use a robin hood approach toward taxation.

Obama is a chip off the old block. He's completely ruined this country in 4 years when I didn't he was even capable of achieving it.

But where he won the election, it does point out one thing:

There's an enormous population out there that WANTS something. There too stupid to realize when you go out and make your own way, it feels MUCH better than having something given to you. It's a sad state of affairs with voters in this country these days. They all have their hands out.

I keep thinking if I explained to them that democrats are socialists, they may catch on. But then I realize they lack the mental capacity.
