Why is Kerley returning punts?
He's our best WR. No one else on the roster can do it?

Because that was what he was drafted to do. Sadly they didn't think to replace him in the off season. They did the same stuff with Moss for like 4 years acting like returning kicks was the only thing he did well.

Kerley is a fumble waiting to happen. He either fumbles on a punt return or after he catches a pass. On the other hand he has been a decent player for a 6th round pick. He seems like a decent slot receiver. With the Jets relying so much on Kerley it shows what a lack of talent they have because Kerley is nothing special.

Because Kyle Wilson could not catch the ball.

Just wondering why our best WR (I know, not saying much) is risking injury returning punts. I mean, he's not even good at it. That fumble in the Seattle game was BRUTAL.

Starters play STs, that's the way it is. Landry plays punt coverage. Wilson is on punt return. You want players that can do something well on the field.

I don't know why he fields punts, though. To me it's not even so much about the potential for injury, it's about him coughing the ball up and hurting us. I'm sure he's worse than league average solely as a returner. I hope we get a specialist #4 WR/CB in free agency or the draft. |

Because we didn't resign Jim Leonhard- with all the Braylon talk, I had to bring Jimmy up again.
