How would they even try to hold classes in that building ever again?

How could you teach there?

Been watching this all afternoon. My son just got back from school and all I could tell him is that someone hurt some kids and he's probably going to hear a lot about it over the next few weeks. I'm not even sure what I can tell my 6 year old.

My kids schools lock the doors and the only entrance you can get in is the main entrance if you get buzzed in after the morning bell rings. Before that, principal and teachers stand at main entrance in the morning and afternoon. I can't imagine what else they can do without putting armed guards in elementary school.

This is so unbelievable. I can't get the picture of 18 dead 5/6 year old bodies and the blood out of my head. I've been to combat as a 11B and carry shrapnel in what's left of my left shoulder and this hurts as bad as anything I've ever experienced.

I used to teach high school math in Connecticut.
It's so upsetting to think about this. It rips out your insides thinking about the children.

I think I would have a hard time going back into the same building or classroom after something like that happening.

Trying to reach my sister who used to live in Sandy Hook (small world or what) 2 years ago. I hope none of her friends are part of the families directly hurt.

Whole community devasted...

This has sucked the life out of me today.

My son was born a few towns north of Newtown in New Milford. It is the last place we lived before moving to Fla. Newtown is a beautiful town with hard working people. Such a tragedy, that will forever damage it.

I am so sad right now......

Newtown is two minutes from my house in Trumbull, I was on my way home from UConn this morning hearing everything on the raio, none of it feels real
