A school 10 miles from me burnt down last night. Arson investigators were there today, but no findings.

We need more confirmation on this, obviously he was not mentally handicapped (in the sense we use the term) to have pulled off a very cold and calculated crime of this nature. The bulletproof vest, the multiple weapons, dressing in all black, targeting family members, this speaks to a very calculated crime. I'm not sure someone with autism would be capable of an act like this.

There are varying types of autism. Some people can be highly functional while others might not be.

i think the details of this are going to make it even worse....from what i can make out, this sicko kills his dad in nj....drives to ct and kills his mom who is apparently a teacher at that school. 20 kids dead

so 20 is probably a class. i HOPE this guy didnt go to moms classroom first, shoot her and then just pick off those babies like fish in a barrel. when a school goes into lockdown, its hard for anyone to get into a classroom or pod (if its a modern school) so that makes me think if he got to mom, she must have been first before the lockdown signal. and if shes a teacher,,,,,,the kids must have been there at his mercy

sick ****ing world one of only 2 times in my life a news story made my eyes water in 44 years

My wife has a friend whose son is in kindergarten at that school.

She was on a plane flying back from California when the story broke, didn't get the news until she landed that he was in the other kindergarten class (there are only two) and that he was okay. The husband was frantically trying to get to her before she saw a TV at the gate.
