A QB who constantly turns the ball over and misses open receivers loses the faith of everyone.

It's pretty clear Rex has lost faith too. Just look at how many times we ran the ball against Jacksonville. Or the fact that he took Sanchez out even for a 3rd string QB that most people think could only top out as a decent backup in the NFL.
Rex himself said that Mcelroy didn't have an NFL arm when he first got here. I'm pretty convinced Rex would like to move on from Sanchez, it's just that he can't. Tebow sucks... McElroy doesn't show much better. Even next year it looks like there is very little in the draft. Next to nothing in free agency or trade either. |

If say Bray and Keller play at a decent level Monday night, along with Kerley, that gives a decent weapon-set. Still not up to par, given Keller will probably still be hampered if he plays and Bray will be learning. Yet much better than the high school level squad of "weapons" that was on the field last week. That alone will most likely allow for a much different offensive plan. Looking towards next year... Holmes, Braylon, Kerley, Hill n Keller make one heck of an arsenal that I completely expect Rex to allow Sanchez to work with freely. Basically giving the guy a very good chance to succeed and extend his career here in Jersey as Gang Green's QB. Last edited by Mike135; 12-14-2012 at 04:27 PM. |

T.Y. Hilton was taken near the end of the 3rd round and he's developed into a key target for Luck. I don't think you can base it on any formula. The concern with Hill was well known and it was the type of offense he came from. It smells a lot like a Johnny Mitchell type signing. Great athlete. Great potential. Limited football skills. Remains to be seen. |

As many have said before, the transition from college to the pros is especially difficult for WR to make. Given Hills limited experience at GT, it's even tougher for him. Don't give up on him yet. |

WRs take time to develop. Blackmon has only come around a little since Henne became the starter. Wheres Kendall Wright? Michael Floyd? AJ Jenkins? |

However, it takes several seasons for a drafted WR to PAN OUT(where we'll see if he's a bust or not) and in Hill's case, it will take even longer. By the time he is up to par in being an NFL-Caliber WR(if he pans out that way), he'd be catching passes from a QB not currently on the Jets *OR* is on an entirely different team/organization.... |
