A QB who constantly turns the ball over and misses open receivers loses the faith of everyone.

Rex himself said that Mcelroy didn't have an NFL arm when he first got here.

I'm pretty convinced Rex would like to move on from Sanchez, it's just that he can't. Tebow sucks... McElroy doesn't show much better.

Even next year it looks like there is very little in the draft. Next to nothing in free agency or trade either.

While I'm sure Rex wouldn't mind a Peyton or Brady, I don't think he's lost confidence in Mark. What's obvious is that he's lost confidence in the passing offense as a whole. Including the combination of Mark, pass protection, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the receiving options (or lack there of).

If say Bray and Keller play at a decent level Monday night, along with Kerley, that gives a decent weapon-set. Still not up to par, given Keller will probably still be hampered if he plays and Bray will be learning. Yet much better than the high school level squad of "weapons" that was on the field last week. That alone will most likely allow for a much different offensive plan.

Looking towards next year... Holmes, Braylon, Kerley, Hill n Keller make one heck of an arsenal that I completely expect Rex to allow Sanchez to work with freely. Basically giving the guy a very good chance to succeed and extend his career here in Jersey as Gang Green's QB.

IDK. 11th pick in the 2nd is a pretty high pick especially when you hear the Jets say they had him rated higher.

T.Y. Hilton was taken near the end of the 3rd round and he's developed into a key target for Luck.

I don't think you can base it on any formula. The concern with Hill was well known and it was the type of offense he came from. It smells a lot like a Johnny Mitchell type signing. Great athlete. Great potential. Limited football skills. Remains to be seen.

And he still can be the steal of the draft. He's 13 games in, so it's safe to say he has plenty of time to improve.

As many have said before, the transition from college to the pros is especially difficult for WR to make. Given Hills limited experience at GT, it's even tougher for him.

Don't give up on him yet.

You put these guys on the field with the impact of a #1 WR, it does wonders for a passing game, with Holmes out, the Jets have been missing this all year.

Obviously, we don't know what Edwards can offer right now, but if healthy, and truly over his knee issue, he's still just 29, I'm anxious to see what he has these last 3 games, to evaluate him for next year.

A healthy Edwards, Holmes, and then Hill, Kerley, and even Schilens/Gates/Gilyard? That looks pretty good. Best part, is Edwards' potential price tag, it will be cheap, and Edwards is a great fit in NY, wants to be here, and is a NY type of player.
What makes you think Holmes is a no 1 ??? The guy has NEVER put up no. 1 stats. Clue needed here.

Luck > Sanchez

WRs take time to develop. Blackmon has only come around a little since Henne became the starter. Wheres Kendall Wright? Michael Floyd? AJ Jenkins?

We won't.

However, it takes several seasons for a drafted WR to PAN OUT(where we'll see if he's a bust or not) and in Hill's case, it will take even longer.

By the time he is up to par in being an NFL-Caliber WR(if he pans out that way), he'd be catching passes from a QB not currently on the Jets *OR* is on an entirely different team/organization....

In 2010 Demaryius Thomas had similar statistics to Hill. He's developing into one of the top receivers in the league (of course it helps when you have Peyton Manning throwing you the ball.

Because Rah Rah overrates every player on the Jets.

No doubt. But Sanchez also can't catch the ball for Hill when he does throw an on-target pass.
