Yeah, that's ok... But he's lost a step, doesn't run physical, doesn't score Tds, isn't a great receiver, and the worst part is that he's become hesitant like Reggie Bush...
Not saying hes a bad player, but jus not what he once was... 2500 yards, 5.5 ypc - 16 Tds.... |

how can you watch the nfl and think this is a good idea? centering your salary cap around a running back, MVP or not, is a tried and true method of being a mediocre NFL team. That's why the Vikings suck, they are like 24th in total offense. It's the least important position on the field. You can have a plus running game with good blocking and an average back or just as residue of an elite passing offense. Not that you really need it anyway.

I don't think he has lost a step. I've seen him break a few long ones this year. Definitely a little more hesitant, but they have switched blocking schemes and their oline is crap/injured. For whatever reason, they don't throw to him as much as they used to. I see him breaking a long one tonight against our speedsters Scott and Harris. All he needs is a seam. |

CJ isn't the same runner he was before the big contract. He runs soft nowadays.
- Doesn't break tackles - His stop n go abilities and ability to change directions have diminished - He basically relies on his pure speed nowadays. And that won't be around forever. Will he put up numbers? Yes, I expect him to. Bret Favre put up numbers in the finals years of his career, but that doesn't change the fact that he was long over the hill. Stats aren't always a reflective of your abilities. CJ is finished. He'll never be the CJ2K he was a couple of years ago, and he'll never live up to the contract he was given. Stick a fork in him. |

CJ has had an off year, but is exactly what we need a homerun threat (which he did vs. US today for the haters) who as Gruden says plays well without the ball especially picking up the blitz which we struggle with! CJ & Powell would be nice considering we want to ground & pound & CJ hasn't had a back to help keep him fresh this year. That being said it will be hard to fit him under the cap, but it's time to earn his pay check & find a way!!!
