you consider that quitting?

The team, as a whole, did not show up today.

That's the reason they lost. They didn't lose because they gave 110% and came up short; they lost because they have a 50% effort under a coach they don't respect.

Slackers: Holmes a proven slacker, the O line today

Liars; Rex, Tanny and Woody

Criminals; take your pick

Simpletons; again take your pick

And this list is no where near complete

firing rex and keeping sanchez? so you want to get rid of the good defense (definitely overachieving considering the holes we have in the front 7) and keep the worst starting QB in the NFL? that's lunacy. rex should be mostly blamed for sticking with sanchez for far too long. our QB is not good enough to win with

Again, not what I'd do.

What I think Woody will do.

Except for Rex- I want him gone.

I know you want rex gone

but don't you think we'd be taking a step back on D without rex? there's no guarantee another HC is going to be able to step in and turn this offense around with this group of talent. tannenbaum's the most culpable for the current state of the team IMO. there's simply not enough good players on this roster

Dumbest thread I've ever seen. Rex Ryan has NEVER lost this team. Not once.

There are NO players trying to get him fired. They want him back and if the decision is up to them...

HE WILL BE BACK.

Tanny HAS to be gone after this season. HAS to be. His "cap guru" status is so over rated. What has the guy done since coming up with that poison pill contract to get Curtis Martin??

You'll never get a serious answer on that question from him.

Congrats SAR, on your victory today. Hope you enjoyed it.

Rex himself said he lost the locker room last year by admitting he didn't know what was happening behind the scenes. In other words, he lost control of the team.

Mike Tannenbaum is a proven cap genius. He is exactly the type of man we need right now seeing how bad our financials are.

Rex Ryan will leave because his value no longer exists. The stadium is sold out as it is going to be, and Woody Johnson no longer likes being on the back pages depicted as a cartoon clown.

Mark Sanchez isn't as bad a quarterback as he is depicted to be. He was surrounded by no talent this year, it is quite evident.

Add it all up...

Mike stays.
Rex goes.
Mark starts.

SAR I
A cap genius who extended Sanchez with guaranteed money?

Tannenbaum has survived two coaches. He will not outlast a third.

I liked the draft he had this year. still think hill has potential to be very good. tanny's problem is that he mortgaged so many picks to win in 09/10 that it crippled our depth. those two drafts killed us

It goes beyond just the player evaluations, which by most accounts Tanny doesnt have a lot of say. His overall lack of leadership and bad management of this team is what should get him fired. He has more than enough bad contracts and bad personnel moves to justify his firing.

But he never lost the passion on the part of the players. They all still wanted to play for Rex Ryan. All Rex admitted to was not being there to solve some of the problems on offense.

When you haven't lost the players, you haven't lost the team.

If I were a Jet I'd want Rex back too:

-No accountability.
-Blindly loyal to old players.
-Says I'm "great" all the time.
-Country club atmosphere.
-Easy practices.

It was a victory for all Jetland today, not just me.

The road to recovery begins with Rex Ryan's departure.
