Positives to the end of the worst season since Kotite

1. Development of Wilkerson (see Dunbar)
2. Development of Coples (see Dunbar & yes we def want you back!)
3. Firing of Sparano
4. Our OL getting hammered on pass protection (allowed us to see we need a
major upgrade) We never recovered after the loss of former Steeler guard
5. Our WR completing flopping (see above)
6. Our Rbs showed they are backup material (see above)
7. Tannenbaum although I was a huge supporter will obviously be demoted...it
was done with Broadway
8. The Tebow drama is coming to a conclusion (I will face the music I was for
move b/c I thought he would have a Brad Smith impact. However, his star
power and lack of throwing ability, being used incorrectly and its clear Rex
didn't want him badly haha
9. A higher draft pick
10. Laron Landry
11. Antonio Cromartie was a stand up guy who walked the walk
12. Return of Braylon who should have never been let go...
13. Hilliard allowed us to dump The Terminator

Please add b/c we know as long time suffering fans we need some positives.

Some people call being a Jets fan a curse I will wear a Jets jersey and gear throughout the off season regardless.

Explain. This year has been an embarrassment when we had hopes but secretly knew we might be doomed...

Jets are going to be 6-10 or 7-9 not 1-15. This is far from the Kotite era.

But let's reinvent history to what a great team Mangini left Rex.

Kind of a stretch to call 4, 5 and 6 positives when we are cap-constrained to fix any of it, and especially given that we knew each of those last year.

Those are things to be depressed about.

2006 was a good year and the only reason 2007 was bad was injuries, mainly to Pennington. There was cause for hope in 2008.

This is the worst season since Kotite. Doesn't matter what the record is. The years where we had worse records we had injuries to our QB. That happens. This year has been the most futile performance since Kotite. Plain and simple.

Spare me Revis and Holmes. We couldn't pass with Holmes and the defense didn't fall apart after Revis.

And in those bad years the jets got to draft earlier, you don't even have that after this year.

Hopefully the end of Chad Schillens who is hot garbage. He reminds me of Gholston in the fact that he looks like a football that's it!!!

Very fair points. However, I do think people re-invent history when they claim Rex took over a very talented team in '09, there were plenty of holes when Rex was hired. That said since the end of the 2011 lockout, the personnel decisions have been abysmal.

Rex deserves another year based on talent and major injuries to key players. Although I hate to admit Holmes the douche is a important player.

One critique on Rex is he uses the word great too freely in talking about his players. He's a smart guy and hopefully he makes adjustments.

I really like the fact that he is honest and direct. Breath of fresh air. and if his fault is loyalty i'll take that...

The biggest positive is that Tanny and rex are getting canned in 6 days.
