Cabin Fever

Normandie countryside

4 days of constant rain and wind

6 adults, and 3 children under 4 cramped in a puny 17century home built by Stokes' great great grandfather

3 bedrooms, no hallway. To go to the last bedroom you have to go through the other 2. We of course have the first. Brings a new light to family relationships seeing you overweight Chinese sister in law go through your bedroom in her jamies "good night!"

The worst are the wooden beams Stokes' GGGF installed in vengeance for future jokes. Just high enough to forget about em, but low enough for a grazing/scalping action. After a few encounters you get a little bump which makes for a perfect target for the next time

Merry Fuking Christmas

That doesn't sound like anything festive, but rather something from hell.

Why the hell would anyone build bedrooms that can only be accessed by walking through other bedrooms?

Like I said it's a very old house where everyone used to eat and sleep on the ground floor. They transformed the attic part into 3 bedrooms I don't know when. Since the roof has a steep incline, the only part where I can stand up and walk is directly under the spine, the rest of the time you're walking bent over.

In an hour, DVD time for the kids, whiskey time for the adults

i hope that you watched the game with your fat, Chinese sister-in-law and that she was extra annoying during the whole thing.

(that, but in a fat Chinese-French accent)

Happy Holidays!!

Mother in law cooks like a beast. Not fine cuisine, just basic French stuff with tons of butter and cream. Everyone taps out when dessert comes around..

No offense, but I just imagine that place smells like a bologna factory on "wear your old sweaty gym socks to work" day.

Lololol. Ain't that the truth.

If it was Stokes' GGGF's place there has to be some over priced booze hidden in the basement somewhere.
