Bad enough we have to deal with freezing rain - but throw the wind into the mix and we're looking at power outages.

You are not the only one having a tough winter:

http://www.smh.com.au/world/brutally...226-2bvlx.html

A bitter cold spell in Russia has claimed 123 lives in the past 10 days, an official says, with the unseasonably early freeze testing authorities in a country used to notoriously tough winters.

Temperatures have plunged to around minus 30 degrees Celsius in the Moscow region and minus 60 degrees in Eastern Siberia, as part of a winter being described by local media as the coldest in 70 years. (so around -75 F)

Jeez!

I haven't got sh*t this year. No freezing rain and just a dusting of snow twice, snow shovel is still in the basement.

And I live by Buffalo.

Syracuse has gotten over a foot the last few days, with another 8"-12" coming today.

My husband's sister and our niece live in Syracuse. Talking to them yesterday, they said they love the snow they're getting.

Here in Austin it's an unusual 27° and windy. Gotta love the wind.

No precipitation fortunately, so no snow like north Texas or the tornadoes in LA and AL.
But still . . . it's cold out there. I moved from Boston to be warm.

NW Jersey and SE NY (Westchester, Orange, Sullivan, etc) and especially Western PA/NY will get most of this snow. WIll be too warm for anything more than rain south of 78/287 into Central and South Jersey and much of the City and LI. If anything, just a light accumulation of slush late tonight.

Much ado about nothing for NYC and environs

Vermont is expected a foot or more overnight tonight. Great news for skiers, riders and powderhogs

Lol.

Local weather-holes just showed 2 different forecasts in the span of 45 secs.

One said it would be partly cloudy on Fri, Sat and Sun. Then said it was gonna snow on Fri, Sat and Sun.

I want to be on record right now saying Sanchez's (when he inevitably plays) struggles this Sunday were the unavoidable effects of the weather. Cut him some slack guys.
