Pete is a very good coach, this QB makes all the difference. Pete, like Harbaugh, made a tough decision and won. rex wont do that.
Excuse me but the Jets wanted Wilson but were overruled by Mike T. Bradway was very adament about drafting Wilson. Rex wanted Chandler Jones but Sea took him ahead of the Jets.

Pete got cut because the team quit on him (especially the defensive secondary).

Jones plays for the Pats.

You mean Bruce Irvin instead of Chandler Jones.

Never heard the Wilson stuff before.

Either way, things look pretty good because we got Coples and he's extremely unique as a pass rusher. Can rush from the inside AND outside pretty well and has gotten better quickly. Will be interesting what he turns into.

Rex didn't have an alternative. Granted he may have put himself in that position but what tough decision was he supposed to make? Bench Sanchez, for Tebow? Or McElroY?

Exactly... Give him a Wilson and let's see if Rex will do that. He sure as hell did the right thing staying with Sanchez because Tebow is garbage and McElroy isn't much better than that.

I dislike Sanchez but it's pretty clear Rex was doing the right thing staying with him.

Where Rex missed was this past offseason and that is really the only time they could've decided to go in a different direction. And truthfully, they did try to get in a different direction with Peyton Manning.

But that team has done a great job getting talent on the defense though. Absolutely fantastic.
It means a lot but as I pointed out, 90% of coaches (including Rex) if not more would never have started Wilson in Seattle's situation. That is where you have to give all the credit to Carroll, for going against the grain and giving the job to the guy that played the best in training camp, even if he was a 3rd round rookie and your high priced free agent pickup becomes the backup.

If you think you need a QB, YOU GO GET HIM!
We traded up to get Mark Sanchez.
