Figured it would happen, but the question now is if he's fired or reassigned to another role (which I find pathetic).

We've done it before with Bradway. It's a big part of why this circus just continues. Jets are the only team that takes its trash and recycles it within their own organization.

WOW. I figured it probably would happen, but it still seems rather abrupt. I guess I'll believe it when I see it also.

Rex should be very worried right about now. His plight will be in the hands of someone other than Mike Tannenbaum. He should be regretting staying with Sanchez for as long as he did, because if he gets fired, that would probably be the top reason. Anytime a GM perceives that the HC is more loyal to player than he is winning? That can never end well.

But Rex made his bed on this. The fans and media were talking about this since the beginning of the season. He knew that sticking with Sanchez could cost him his job.

I hope Rex keeps his job. It's very hard to find another that can achieve what Rex has.

If they fire Tanny, then fire him. No reassignments.

And if Tanny goes, Bradway MUST go with him.

So very true. Dick "Armey" Sutton, case in point.

Over the years it's turned this organization into some horrible circus, it's been like inbreeding in a way.

proper first step

next step

Hire a football operations Tsar with full and final powers over all football and scouting staffing

He must be directed by the Owner to begin and complete a full evaluation of on field and personnel staff and either retain Rex Ryan as head coach or hire a new Head Coach

So Warfish let me ask you...

If Tanny goes, why must Bradway go with him? Can you please provide your reasoning for such a claim?

This only matters if they completely cut the cord. They have to fire him, not reassign him.

Is there some 3rd option that the owner won't let the other GM have?

Why did you vote to keep Tannenbaum and Ryan then?

In theory he could be demoted to Defensive Coordinator. I don't see that happening with the Jets.

I do think that he will become a DC at his next job and get another Head coaching job in a few years.

but his two 'options' don't preclude Rex being demoted to DC, that's not a third option
