ONE thing is certain

If Gary Myers says the Jets should do something

Then

The Jets should do the exact polar opposite

Rex stuck with Sanchez week after week, feeding us his BS about him providing us with the best chance to win, when, week after week, he turned the ball over at an unprecedented rate. His handling of the QB situation, and stubborn refusal to make a move much earlier, cost the Jets this season and is, in itself, a firing offense. There's no way to justify keeping Rex. He sucks as a head coach. He lets the lunatics run the asylum. He sticks to an outmoded offensive philosophy that is 5 steps behind the trend in the league for the last umpteen years. He's terrible.

Ryan has been miserable — morose might be a better description — ever since the embarrassment of the Butt Fumble game against the Patriots on Thanksgiving Night, when the Jets lost by 30 and left their fans with no hope.
As the Daily News is reporting, a team source said Ryan believes he’s better off getting fired if Johnson isn’t willing to invest money to get the anemic offense straightened out, and that likely starts with Ryan wanting Johnson to swallow what remains of offensive coordinator Tony Sparano’s contract and to spend to bring in quality offensive players.

I think this little tidbit of information sheds light on what happened with this year's team. Woody after spending big to get his SB winning team but not achieving it, cheaped out this year and to some extent last year and it explains among other things the unwillingness to pursue Braylon Edwards who they probably thought they couldn't afford, and scraped the bottom of the barrel for other parts of the offense, explaining such 'acquisitions' as Clyde Gates and Lex Hilliard and Chaz Schilens. "This is the most talented team I've ever had" was said probably as much for his own benefit (to convince himself) as the public's.

Rex may not even agreed with Tanny's extension of Sanchez and I am glad to see him flexing some muscle now that he is not a first year coach anymore, as a lot of the debacle was probably forced on him by Woody. (cough Tebow cough)

No it isn't. It's 5th in run blocking. But dead last in pass protection.

What move? It's not like he had Kaepernick or Wilson to put in there. From what he's saying it sounds like he had little control over signing a backup or rookie QB this year and is why he is leaking this. He was right, Sanchez was the best out of the three now that we have seen McElroy 'play' one whole game.

NY Jets owner Woody Johnson must do what he can to keep Mark Sanchez happy.

Yeah, it's just as ridiculous.

What is he good at as a HC? Defense?
