Not that Im a fan of him or anything, but the Jets really hosed this kid. Then again, he should have taken the offer to go to Jacksonville (if that offer was really even on the table).

Tebow came to the Jets because he thought Sanchez would fail and he would be the starter.

Unfortunately for Tim and the Jets, he was right about Sanchez but he was obviously much worse in practice than the Jets ever imagined.

Sadly Jets fans are good at imagining bad play.

All we can hope for is that he is gone after this season. Maybe this teaches Woody a lesson to stay out of football affairs and just write the checks. Even a casual football fan knew about the circus that would follow, how Woody could not know this is just idiotic.

It's also a concern that there's a story that Rex/Tanny were at an airport and heard Tebow was available. Rex said he wanted Tebow because of how he beat the Jets last year.

If that's true, then they didn't do their homework either.

I still like Rex and I think he may be a good head coach someday. There is a learning curve and we all remember how Belichick was in Cleveland.

But when you bring in a new GM, you need to trust his decision making and he must be the one that chooses the head coach. If he wants to retain Rex, then fine, but if not, goodbye.

And even if he is retained, the GM should be making all personnel decisions. Not Rex. He has proven that he isn't very good at it.
