It's not a free site, it's free with ad support for the freeloaders who don't want to part with $25 a year to support the best Jets-related site on the web. I am a VIP member (happily) and so is SAR. I thought some of that money goes towards site support. Do you know differently? Regardless, I would gladly throw Sean a few dollars more if he felt it would improve the site.

I seem to recall a server upgrade a year or two ago and it wasn't uncommon to see 600+ users on after a big win. A substantial inprovement at the time.

Something's changed in the past couple of months. Sandy related?

BTW...I mentioned this a few weeks ago but will repeat.

The issue is our outdated VBulletin software and database. Our servers are fine. We actually have dual servers that can handle 20,000 users at a time and pay a lot for them.

We are upgrading to the latest version of VBulletin soon after the season ends. Obviously when you change things and upgrade software there are usually glitches and we didn't want to risk any downtime of the board during the season. We are also going to upgrade our servers to the latest technology and will likely switch to a datacenter that specializes in VBulletin based sites.

I apologize for any problems now and we are all over them when they occur but please bear with and have patience until we do the upgrades.

We are also planning a lot of other upgrades and new features to the site as a whole so 2013 should be a great year for JI.
