When Losing is Winning

If you are going to miss the playoffs in the NFL, you want to lose as many games as possible to get better picks in every round.

- Would a win today have made anything better?

How happy are the Colts that they tanked last season?

Agreed, nothing positive from winning today.

Plus the piece of spam at QB took care of any chance to win today anyway

Today has actually gone about as good as it could as far as potential draft positioning goes for the Jets. Based off of record alone right now(not sure about tie breakers for 6 win teams) the Jets could be picking as high as 8th. A few 6 win teams got their 7th today, and a few 5 win teams got their 6th win, and I would think some of those 6 win teams have tougher SOS than the Jets.

Sadly, I doubt we'll find Andrew Luck Mk II at pick #8 in the draft.

no but we might get that elusive edge rusher and have a shot at a decent QB prospect in the 2nd or 3rd

I believe we have jumped Tennessee. Buffalo should still pick before us based on their strength of schedule. San Diego needs to win for us to get an earlier pick (good start with the kickoff return for a TD). Even if AZ beats SF I don't believe we will pick before them. Looks like 8 or 9 right now for us.

I think AZ has a tough SOS as of last week anyway (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/b...fl-draft-order)

So we need AZ and SD to win and we can pick 8.
