Bingo. You don't trade one of the best players in the NFL for a couple of draft picks. All this talk of trading Revis is Madden-esque nonsense.

Lots of guys on this team need to go, but Revis isn't one of them.

Texans don't have one with Watt, Vikings don't have one with Peterson, 49ers don't have one with Willis, so I guess every team should get rid of there best players.

I don't follow those teams as much as I do the NY Jets. I could care less about what they do. I do know that the NY Jets have not won a SB since Jan 12, 1969.

Trade whomever we must to get us to win the SB again

Exactly. The Pats don't have a (non-cheating) Lombardi trophy with Brady. Clearly, they should cut the bum.

yeah lets trade revis coming off of an acl when his value is at its lowest in his entire career. even so if you get 2 first rounds one could turn out to be vernon gholston and the other could be a bryan thomas. if the new gm trades revis he should be fired immediately

Agree about Revis.

And Mangold needs to lose some freakin weight!

Until the NY Jets get the QB situation resolved, they won't win the SB. Not even REVIS will change that

I agree; Revis would have made no difference this year. Sanchez is the main problem along with aging players and too many rookies learning how to play their position.

You are allowed to have both a good QB and a good CB on the same team. It's not an either/or proposition.

Keep Revis, draft a QB and sign a solid vet QB to hold the fort.

Trade from a position of strength not one of weakness

I think he's a FA after next season...how could we trade him then?

And that is assuming he'd even WANT to stay here...he's had some rocky contract disputes since he's been here and who knows who the coach/GM will be?

I say get him traded this year for picks. It gets rid of his humungus salary and brings in new blood from the college ranks on the cheap. 2,3,4,5 rounds can produce very good players. A new GM can fill the needs through the draft and a few FA. We'll be ready to compete in 2014.
