You almost have to extend him if he stays... What OC/DC will want to come here if they think Rex could be on a one more year trial? Just because he isn't fired tomorrow does not mean he won't go. Once a new GM is hired he might be let go... I imagine that Woody will want to have a new GM in place by the League Championship Game....

The man has TWO YEARS remaining on his current contract, not one.

If it was one, he'd be gone Yesterday.

Whomever Woody hires as New GM is going to have to deal with Rex for at least a year and I think that new GM will end up being Clinkscales.....

(although Woody not being there could also mean that he's still looking, not only for GM candidates but new Coaching candidates as well)

Means absolutely nothing. Even if they hire a GM that has the choice on Rex he would likely stay under contract for a little while. Even Clinkscales is hired I will be seriously pissed.

Perhaps. Maybe they made the presser later than usual because there will be some other announcements in the afternoon. Maybe they want to give Rex time to get his story straight for everyone asking him about Tanny being fired.
