What time are his usual Monday pressers? Noon?

One doesn't have anything to do with the other. Woody could have had a baptism to go to for all we know.

Owners don't travel to meet with potential candidates. Candidates come to them. And they don't interview on the last Sunday of the NFL season.

1 you hire a GM

2 the GM decides about the HC, the other coaches and the scouting and personnel staff

it's a process

True. Plus they dont necessarily need to have the replacement hired yet.

I'm not sure they'd even schedule a presser if Rex was going to be fired. I think you're right, they scheduled it later to let Rex come up with statements about who was fired (Tanny, Sparano, etc.)

Awesome RT @JPPelzman: Jets' New Year's Eve media availability--players at 10 a.m., Rex at 4:45, ball dropped by Stephen Hill at midnight.

I honestly think Rex stays for another year. Just my opinion, but I think he gets saved based on fielding a decent defense while losing Revis, Holmes, Keller plus the Tebow debacle (which I don't think was totally on him- we'll never know), the Sparano failure, and Mike Westhoff's apparent on the job retirement before the season even started.

Hopefully he went to a briss and came away with thoughts of making some major cuts.

Woody and Tanny flew to meet with Rex in Balt But I agree an interview wouldn't take place today.

Woody didn't travel to the game today because he's distancing himself from everyone until its time to say something. JMO

That extra 3 degrees in the city is really warm.

C'mon. Woody never sits the f*ck outside. Weather isn't the reason he didn't go.

A new GM would keep Rex.

Especially since Woody will make that a prerequisite to taking the job.
