I said it in another thread, but imagine if our new GM wanted to work with Rex Ryan? How crazy would that be!

Just because we as fans want Rex fired doesn't mean the professionals and potential candidates in the NFL want him fired. They might even look at working with him as an opportunity.

For all the beat writer-like reasons we call Rex a bad coach, there could be a million things in the locker room, in the meetings and in the offices that make him a great coach that we would never, ever know about.

But with that said, I'm looking forward to Rex staying and all the threads tomorrow of "After 42 years with this team, this is it." and "Woody, you moron!" It's classic entertainment.

This is what Im thinking/hoping. Woody is not firing rex but the new gm very well might fire him after he gets hired. And being that the new gm is not in place, rex will have to be at the press conference tomorrow.
