sorry, was only talking about the ability to throw the ball. RG3 is a better athlete.

Neither of them are Olympic level athletes...

I watch a lot of Geno. He ain't got NFL staying ability. Perhaps as a Brad Smith.

Vince Young , Dixon were both better.

Disagree on almost all counts. Dennis Dixon was better and he is a practice player today. More talent than RG??? Not one analyst is high on this kid. ALL were fawning for RG.

Tanny drafts based on your criteria... He hopes, he wishes, etc.
He's not as polished as RG3, and not the same sort of athlete, but he throws just as well if not better coming out of college.

Dixon played in a gimmick offense + had a pee shooter for an arm, not even in the same class.

Jets move from 13 to 9 in the draft by losing

I can never root for the Jets to lose... But it looks like it moved us up from 13 to 9 in the 1st round. From here:
http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-dra...fl-draft-order

it seems like they would have drafted 13 instead (after Tampa before Carolina) if we won based on SOS...

In case anyone was curious...

Nice story, but only ran a 4.41 '40...
No way he touches the Olympics.

we must be watching different "Smiths"...

I can't see how you've watched a lot of him and still think his arm is in the same class as those guys...

RG3 is a hurdler, not a 200 M dash guy and Justin Gatlin, a former olympic runner ran the 40 at 4.42.

1/2 the team needs upgrading or backed up. We could use a 15 player draft.
exactly why we should trade back and get as many picks as we can....even if we get a 1st next year that would be awesome....

LOL...the Jets have the 9th pick, not the first pick. Plus who is the player that someone is going to give up a first round pick to move up for? Come on now.

RG3 was actually a 400m hurdle guy... And his best (39" hurdles, not 42" like Olympic standards) was before his ACL injury... And he was time at 13.46...
Our Olympic team typically has 3 guys under 13.2 seconds... You really need to be at 13.15 to have a chance of Being the 3rd guy on the team...

So again, not an Olympic athlete, but very talented guy just the same...

You act like its never happened before.

The draft is 5 months away and you have no idea if teams have a player they want badly -- they don't even know yet because once again the draft is about 5 months away.

Some teams are desperate for a QB or OL help, others need WR, others need pass rushers.

It's way way way too early to pull the "who is the player" card.

There is no way of knowing right now who is for certain a top 10 pick and who is not.

I can think of 2 players.

Brick Ferguson and Darrelle Revis.
