Jey Gruden. He'll be good cuz his name is Gruden.

Are you playing the Straw Man character now or have you switched to the Forum Critic role, Ebert?

I get confused.

In the case of Fortune 500 business, this would be done quietly without the incumbent knowing a search was underway for his replacement. Because this is a public business and the incumbent is under contract, it's not necessary to make it a secret. The whole world knows that Mike and Rex are under scrutiny, 50/50 to return at best, it's a bit unorthodox but it's not too far fetched to think that a process is underway and this is part of it.

Woody hired a recruiting firm to help him find a suitable new GM.

They may or may not help him determine Tannenbaum's value to the team. Woody probably already knows what he wants to do with Tannenbaum (retain him in a lesser role) but may be swayed otherwise by the GM he ultimately chooses.

Terrible Team

I was not surprised at the outcome of this Jets season. After the poor exhibition season, I predicted a 6-10 season because of the very poor quarterback play. I was right on the money. There is going to be a huge amount of rebuilding to make this team competitive especially on the offense. I would start with the hiring of a new GM who knows how to acquire quality players and turn this franchise around.

Given your track record on those, it's no suprise you "get confused" when that question comes up.

My worry is that a new GM will come in and 'evaluate' for a year and not do everything in his power to dump sanchez or at least bring in a decent QB to start.

Is this prediction documented somewhere?

Why? That actually might be the best and only thing for the new GM to do, given the roster turnover that will be happening this off-season, with the number of contracts that will be dumped, and the holes on the team that will need to be addressed.
