Woody hired a recruiting firm to help him find a suitable new GM.

They may or may not help him determine Tannenbaum's value to the team. Woody probably already knows what he wants to do with Tannenbaum (retain him in a lesser role) but may be swayed otherwise by the GM he ultimately chooses.

I was not surprised at the outcome of this Jets season. After the poor exhibition season, I predicted a 6-10 season because of the very poor quarterback play. I was right on the money. There is going to be a huge amount of rebuilding to make this team competitive especially on the offense. I would start with the hiring of a new GM who knows how to acquire quality players and turn this franchise around.

Why? That actually might be the best and only thing for the new GM to do, given the roster turnover that will be happening this off-season, with the number of contracts that will be dumped, and the holes on the team that will need to be addressed.
