I've got 'em at 5-11 because of the personnel and the timing. I don't think they've improved overall, I think they lose early, fall apart as a team, continue last season's implosion, and quit on Rex again.

I like how you get called a "fool" for predicting five wins.

They had a good run last year

Teams will be better prepared this year against the Patriots two TE's.
We're not forgetting. Nope. Not happening. Here is the link:

I'm not proud of it at all.

I am amazed, however, at how many Jets Insiders were fooled by Rex Ryan's rhetoric. Continue to be amazed at how many still believe in him to this day.

A blind squirrel could see that the Jets were headed for disaster. What we went through this past summer trying to preach that gospel, wow, so harsh.

I know I am preaching to the choir but I dare anybody to tell me how a top 5 or top 7 d makes the guy running the show a great hc. I am all ears. If you all don't blame Rex after this year you never will because the guy will horde d talent to save his own hide.

5-11

Not enough time or cap space to fix this. It's going to take years to fix this. As long as Sanchez is on this team, they will continue to suck.

I've noticed that both of them disappeared from this thread. I guess they are afraid of getting called out for their attacks. But lets review:

Orginally posted by Ray Ray
With Tanny's new stud additions, Rex's top 5 D, and Sparano running the ground and pound and master of the wildcat, this team will definitely go 12-4.
That's a promise.

(You broke your promise--apologize)

That damned OT game down in Miami ruined everything.

It's SOJ fans like you who make this board readable. Keep up the good work!

You get some right, you get some wrong. Such is life old friend.

I didn't forsee Sanchez ****ting the bed for a fourth season in a row. I expected him to improve, not continue to devolve and fail. I certainly didn't expect to finish 2012 with the worst QB in the entire league over the past 4 years. That is awful hard to overcome.

I also didn't expect our best player on both sides of the ball to miss the entire season. The loss of Revis and Holmes, while not as bad as playing Mark Sanchez, was still crippling.

And I'll be honest, I expected the team and O-Co that was very familiar with the Wildcat to create a situation where Tim Tebow could thrive and produce on a limited basis. Instead, Sparano and Co. failed totally and completely with Tebow, possably handing it as badly as it could have been handled.

Combine with a Defense in Flux (youth up front still learning, LB's getting old in the tooth) and you got what we saw. 6-10 and lucky to be that.

So undoubtedly, I was wrong almost accross the board pre-2012. It happens.

Given how the modern NFL works, I still think this team, under this Coach, is one QB, a few LB's and one WR from being as good and competative as anyone. /shrug

Nice to see someone give a rational response without attacking.

Careful patting yourself on the back so hard or you might fall over - you didn't get it right, their record was 6-10 not 5-11
