Here's what makes any job tough in this division at the moment. You have the expectation that you're there to beat the Patriots. Your measuring stick is the Patriots offense, Tom Brady, and BB. That's a pretty high bar in the NFL. Rex has found out like many others that it isn't that easy.

You might get a free year but ultimately, that's what you're being measured against.

Any OC coming here would probably get a large amount of power about the offensive side of the ball - Rex isn't exactly hands-on in that area.

So he can take the fall for Rex when we don't make the playoffs?

I'll be OC for half the market rate - as long Sanchez has to make goo-goo eyes at his best receiver before throwing him a pass it's not like we're be able to beat anybody anyway.

They would wanna come here cause Woody will say "you can go to any team and be the oc or you can come here and be the head coach of the offense with total control"

A guy like norv is perfect for this because he's had a few head coaching jobs already he's not getting another one ever, not in the NFL. He's wade philips great coordinator who had a few HC jobs and it's not like they're young up and coming, they'll be coordinators for rest of their careers.

So you follow the money and which job gives you most power and freedom for your job. Jets offer that probably more than any team cause Rex is obviously clueless on offense.

Failed retread tires not much better than the Sparano XT390s that just suffered four blowouts this season...How come Paul Hackett wasn't on that list? He fits

Anyone. Any OC that comes here and turns it around will be a top HC candidate. Smart move, 2 maybe 3 seasons and you are a HC.

I doubt it. He plays different when he gets smacked around. Maybe three years left. He is very wealthy and has accomplished everything. Why stick around for another concussion and live till 58.

Ready made offenses with good caps and QB's don't have job openings.

Maybe because of the money and change of scenery. Woody can offer an extra million and an apt in NYC. I mean who knows why but there could be case made that NYC area is a nice place to be for a few years.

A lot of those problems will be worked through. Some may not go away for another season, but they'd still love to coach the Jets offense. Said OC can design the offense from the ground up. It will have his hands all over it. He'll also know that Rex Ryan will allow him to do his job without any interruption from Rex. Rex respects his fellow coaches and would never step on their feet. Any highly touted OC will know that working for Rex would be great.

plus with Teblow gone and Pickchez either gone or the third string inactive scout team QB the new OC might even have a chance for improvement

Matt Moore starter

Greg McElroy backup

Chris Simms or a mid round developmental draft pick - learning

Mark Pickchez??? rear view mirror

So who is your preferred choice? It has to be someone that isn't at least an OC now...
