This is it.
What I believe is that since Rex has 2 years left on his deal, Woody would prefer not to eat 100% of that salary. Any new GM coming here knows that next year we are restricted due to the salary cap but will have a tremendous opportunity after next season. So Rex goes into next season knowing that he cannot win with the roster we'll have and knowing he will be fired. So trying to preserve his "brand" may into e him to work something out as far as a compromise with Woody. Of course, one of two things HAS to happen in order to initiate it. He or his agent have to find him another job as a DC or on TV. |

There were no realistic alternatives to Sanchez, and Mark was the guy we traded up into the top 5 to draft. Of all the things I blame Rex for - Wanting to bring in Tebow, every endorsement/sign-off of Santonio Holmes as a leader + contract, everything coverage related with Kyle Wilson, hiring Tony Sparano - I don't have a problem with him sticking with Sanchez for most of the year, even if it was "too loyal". |

That much we know. What we didn't know was how Tebow would do as the starting QB because he wasn't given the chance. That's the difference. Am I a Tebow supporter? Hell no. But I know Mark wasn't getting it done. So a change should've been made. |

I would be willing to bet that if Ross is the new GM, there is no way he would want Rex after witnessing the circus that Rex created. He will (either now or next January) bring in a disciplined HC that is similar to Coughlin. My guess would be Todd Haly or Mike Nolan.

We should trust NOTHING the media puts out, most of it is for ratings, sensationalism, and face-time to make it seem some of these idiots know what they're talking about, when most of the time, they don't have a ****ing clue. |

Over his 4 years, the team is 3-1 in openers and 9-3 over the first 4 games of the season...what can you possibly mean "unprepared as usual"?

Without an NFL-caliber starting QB, we're not going to go far. The 2014 draft has some decent potential franchise QBs. Next year will be a wash, imo.....provided the Jets don't make the mistake picking one of the QB turds (Geno Smith/Nassib/Barkely) in the 2013 draft. (1) I'm completely convinced that Tebow was never an option to start. He can't throw and with the extra wt he was asked to put on he can't run. I guess Rex already knew this. (2) After seeing McElroy (who I had high hopes for), he doesn't have the pocket presence I thought I'd see. I guess Rex already knew this. (3) Even with either of the above options in there we didn't have any skill players to get anywhere, so.... (4) With "The Contract" and Sanchez not going anywhere, Rex had no choice but to hope that Sanchez could turn it around at least while we were still alive. Once hope died he gave McElroy some starts to see what it is. With 20/20 hindsight I've no problems with the way Rex handled the QB spot this season. He just had nothing to work with. Further, Rex is one of the the winingist HC in franchise hx. Rex haters, please step off
