Yeah, that trade sucked. All we got out of it was an All-Pro center named Nick Mangold, while Atlanta got a guy who could rush the QB during the regular season (when healthy) and not play in the playoffs.

Terrible.....all he did was become the 7th rusher in NFL history to hit 2,000 yards and be nine short of the all-time single season rushing record.

Yeah, that 10 cent brain really showed when he played as well as Revis this year, comes cheaper than Revis, and was a club-house leader.

Yep....We'll be able to say we had one of the best CB's in the history of the game, while New England probably wins three more Super Bowls.

I agree with you on this. You simply dont trade these types of players. We were certainly good enough 3 and 4 seasons ago to win it all but fell short in championship games, certainly not due QB play in either. Its not like we are paying so much for corrers at the expense on QB's. Sanchez makes a boatload of money, so once he leaves there will be space to dole out a big contract to the QB who replaces him.

Ok, who are u replacing him with? There are no QBs or Adrian petersens to be had for that $. The draft is ridiculously bad at QB and high upside RB.

Dont agree on the relevance of your last point. Cant compare anything to the Pats because they have arguably a top 5 QB of all time who covers up a boatload of the other deficiencies on the team. We cant expect to trade Revis and in return get a QB on the level of Brady. Brady is a once in a generation player, and Revis probably is too.

Abraham is more valuable then mangold, revis will be back just like AP is, cromartie will still commit the dumb penalty when it matters, and New England has 0 superbawls since spy gate.

A once in a generation QB can win a Bowl or 3..

Revis is incredible. But a great corner on a bad football team is pretty much useless. It's window dressing.

The jets have a lot of talent...they need a QB in the 12-15 range and a dynamic RB to be a12 team win.

The Jets do not have alot of talent. You're overrating this roster. Sure, a few promising players here and there. The mid roster guys are absolutely awful. And tons of aging vets will be released.

If Revis had played this season the Jets would have won 6 games.

It's all speculation, but I think a good QB and someone more dynamic then the god awful shone green gets this team 5 more wins easy.

Here's a question for you.. Based on 1998 vs 2012 alone you had 8 td's from both backs.. One was 3.5 ypc the other was 3.9, the yardage was 1063 on 276 carries against 1287 on 369 carries.. The QB play in 98 was the best in Jet History and 2012 ranked as one of the worst.. Is it fair to say both backs sucked?? The answer is either yes or no..

Shonn Greene is certainly a plodder. Curtis Martin, more impressive looking athlete... but basically, a plodder himself.

We have no choice but to trade Revis. We can't afford him and our salary cap is a disaster because we tried to buy two Superbowls, came up short, and now have a financially wrecked Jet team with no future.

We have to trade everyone for picks and we need to build a team from scratch.

We need to unload like Jimmy Johnson did when he built the Cowboys and Belichick did when he started building the Browns. Dump all star players in exchange for a future.

I'll miss Revis, too, but blame the regime who completely botched our team, not the people who know the reality of the situation.

Curtis Martin was consistently mediocre...which is more then could be said about many RBs. He also had a career year later in his career which never happens for RBs.

I think there are other players more expendable than Revis. Harris, Holmes and Cromartie for starters. If I was going to place my money on two of those it would be Revis and Cromartie, the others are more easily replaced.

Keep our DBs and DL solid, add the OLB and FS we need on defense, then add two OLs, one vet and one rookie QB. Also see what we can do about a RB.

This will preserve our strengths while addressing our weaknesses.
