He was available after the final game and will be available on Jan. 8th.

Moreover, does it say he has to be available in their office?

Lastly, good for them. Woody, take the fine from the NFL and shut these guys out until you're ready.

This is becoming obsessive with Mehta now, he may need legit help.

The media are bad sometimes, but to not make the HC available after the season, when every other team did (at least the ones that didn't fire theirs) is ridiculous. You can't do that. The HC is supposed to give a state of the team type presser at the end of the season, it is an obligation to the media and fans.

Could you imagine if these ragtag crew of beat "writers" had to cover the Fort Knox Patriots?

Who cares about Mehta? Every other team made their coach available. Why are the Jets and Ryan above that obligation? Especially coming off a difficult season where there are a lot of questions. It does not make the organization or Rex look good.

Here's the problem. I don't think that fans and the media aren't obligated to anything.

Fans whine because they pay money to go to games. Here's a thought. DON'T PAY MONEY TO GO TO GAMES. YOU pay the money. It's YOUR fault.

Media just want a byline.

Interesting.

So,

Yes, this is the same Manish Mehta of the Daily News who used multiple anonymous sources in an article in November to rip apart Tim Tebow. The gist of the article may have been right, but
So the media may have been right about reporting about the Jets' troubled season, but **** them anyway.

@ConorTOrr: So to settle this issue with #Jets, the @nfl is looking into the situation, per spokesman. They are in violation of the policy.

@ConorTOrr: The entire #Jets coaching staff was given off until Monday, so there's that.

@MMehtaNYDN: NFL Media Policy reads, in part, teams must "hold a news conference during the week following the end of its season with its head coach..."

@MMehtaNYDN: Updated: Rex Ryan skips town to go on mini-vacation, Jets violate NFL media policy, announce presser for next wk. http://t.co/j3pEUaEm #nyj

It's pointless to even give these guys anything; they will twist their words around to even more negative press anyway. One single interview can give these clowns a few days worth of negative columns, since they will dissect and over analyze every single word or gesture to exhaustion.

Frankly as Jets fans, it's exhausting. They sucked, we get it. Another fart cloud of an article isn't going to help clear the air.

It's not like the Jets are holding up a press conference on the cure for cancer.

Can someone with a Twatter account please tweet Mehta to STFU?

But with the state of the team undergoing an overhaul, what can Rex honestly say?

He really should just get up and give them the stand Bellichick answers. No, Yes, can't discuss that yet, I have to look at the film.

If we think him not talking has the media upset, wait until he gets up and gives them a bunch of nothing.

That is spot on. Thanks for showing it.

Hopefully this is what the NY Media will come to expect from ow on, the absolute minimum. If you are going to get trashed anyway why help the machine?

Good for you Woody!

The New York Media is Scum. **** um'.

As I've said for year, their business is not informing us Fans. It never was.

Do not trust them. They are not your friend. Even if they **** on a guy you agree should be **** on, they are the enemy.

They win when you are mad enough to not just read, but want to respond, to what they say. They get paid more when you click their articles more. Their career path is better the angrier they make you.

Notice, nowhere in there is it a benefit for them to inform you better or more accurately.

They're alot like some posters we could mention. They might even be Jets Fans of a sort, but their real pleasure is pissing you off and profiting from it.

Remember that the next time one quotes an "unnamed Jets source". There is no repurcussion or independant verification when they make up a quote from thin air. None.

Do YOU really trust these guys "journalistic" ethics?

I sure as **** don't.

You are 100% correct. Now lets see if the organization can hold this newly formed set of balls and keep up the silent treatment
