Apparently, some people think Rex's vacation is permanent, convinced that the next GM is being brought in by Woody to be the ax man.

Others take Woody's statement on Monday at face-value when he said, "Rex Ryan will remain the Head Coach of our football team. I believe that he has the passion, the talent, and the drive to successfully lead our team." They also believe Woody when he said in the same statement that Tannenbaum has been fired.

What say you?

Yes, unfortunately. Woody doesn't have the balls to make such a radical change. Plus he'll need a scapegoat in place for 2013.

This part confuses me. Woody has now fired/hired 3 coaches...Herm, Mangini, Rex and fired a GM in Mike Tannenbaum. What makes you say he doesn't have the balls to do it?

I think Rex stays, but I wouldn't shed a tear if he is fired. He puts a great defense on the field every year. This year was one of his better performances considering how bad the offense was an the loss of Revis. With that said, I blame Rex for the offense becoming so inept. So i am ok if he goes or stays.

I would love to hire a young GM, Holmgren as HC and Lovie Smith as DC. I would also accept Lovie Smith as HC and Norv as OC. One way or another we need a proven offensive guru on this staff asap.

Yes, I think he will be back in 2013, but no I do not believe it's the intelligent decision and no I don't think he lasts into 2014.

No disrespect but this thread is a waste, IMO. Woody has already stated Rex will be back and many people close to the team have stated the same.
